With deep domain expertise in healthcare IT and financial services technology, Chris has a proven track record of quickly understanding market dynamics and equipping companies with strategies and tactics that increase market relevance and drive significant revenue growth. In her most recent role as COO and CMO of Brightree, a SaaS-based healthcare IT software company, Chris architected and executed the company’s marketing, sales, M&A and product growth strategies that resulted in growth from $27M to $100M in only four years. While at S1 Corporation, a financial services software company, she led global marketing as the business grew from $20M to $400M both organically and through accretive acquisitions. During her time with several start-up and early stage companies, she was able to take these companies to the next level and achieve remarkable results.
In 2012, Watson was awarded CMO of the Year by the Technology Alliance of Georgia (TAG), for her accomplishments in results-oriented marketing strategy and execution. In 2014, she was named a Women of the Year finalist by Women in Technology (WIT), which recognizes women leaders who have demonstrated success in both their professional careers and community endeavors. She is an active member of several healthcare and technology associations, including HIMSS, TAG, WIT and the Institute for Healthcare Information Technology (IHIT) and has been published in key healthcare IT publications including Health IT News, Health Data Management, and Healthcare Musings. Watson graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Department of Communications at the University of Alabama.
